Starsickle
I second the request. We already have plenty of bodies, but nothing really as different for those of us that make some sort of Action Girl or female Merc. If someone does that project, at least include a separate clothing conversion project to go with it - they just should go hand and hand now. Tony the Wookie
If someone does that project, at least include a separate clothing conversion project to go with it - they just should go hand and hand now. But that is the problem, the clothing conversion is such a huge task I am working on a female model right now, and when I get done, it shouldn't be too hard for me to up the muscle mass on it, since the body I am working on already has decent muscle definition, and I have all of the loops set up for the different muscle groups and everything. So I will take that model and modify it for a nice chisled look as soon as I get done. But I can't guarantee I will be done anytime soon, actually, I can't even guarantee it will look good... considering I am still new to character modeling. But if it does come out looking good, I will put the mesh up here as a resource. Someone else can do the rest of the work, I couldn't figure out how to get an outfit from Fallout 3 into 3Ds Max to edit it even if my life depended on it. Starsickle
That's only a problem because of the way we treat these projects. From here on out, it'd be best if say , you wanted to build a body, to do it and bring in others in to do the other half of the project, the conversions. The reason we have such a hard time and such a complete mess is because the efforts are so completely disorganized. At least, that's what I think. I'd at least like someone to try it. Once I finish the mesh I will put it up here for someone else to make conversions, I just have no control over whether or not someone will actually take up the task or not... I am all for someone trying once I am done with the mesh, I just can't do it myself. What I am doing is really just a personal side project of mine that has nothing to do with modding at all. I am actually trying to see if I can build a body generator, like the Fallout facegen, but for bodys. But before anyone gets and ideas, I am makeing it for 3Ds Max, and not for Fallout. I wouldn't even know the begining of how to do something like that inside of Fallout. What I am trying to do is create an incredibly versitile rig, and create different custom parameters that allow you to move sliders to add to muscle mass and fat and stuff in different areas of the body. It is all just a big experement for me, trying to test what I can do in Max, as well as trying to expand what I can do with rigging, parameters, maxscript, and all that fun stuff. But any meshes that come out of this project I offer up freely to anyone who wants to try to make a body replacer. And if anyone is crazy enough to try to make a bodygen for Fallout, I will also let them do what they can with my work. But as I said before, I can't even guarantee this will work at all...
