zeidan24
Im not exactly sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I was looking for someone that may be able to texture and import a sword i have made. I would do this myself but i just cant seem to figure it out. If anyone could help me with this it would be great. :thanks: here is a picture of what it looks like
shadowace
Well, how do you want the textures to be?
zeidan24
I was thinking maybe like a old kinda rusted look, make the blade look old but shiney if thats not to hard. Anything else is fine with me, i just wanna be able to use it
L33Nexus
Hmm you might want to make sure all of it is "Set Smooth" first before advancing also make sure if you have used subsurf make sure you apply them :)
zeidan24
im kinda new to blender, and this is the first thing ive made. Sense its all one thing now how can i go back and make them smoother, and make sure all the subsurfs are aplied? In the buttons menu (the one under where you do the actual modeling) there should be a button that says "Set Smooth" if you don't see it, select your mesh and it should appear. Click that button to smooth it, and beings it's your first model and you really don't know where things are, I don't think you have to worry about subsurfs, I don't even use subsurfs on my meshes for this game...because they add just way too many polys! If you want to see what I've done here's an example of something I've done for my Valun W.I.P mod.http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd143/shadowace12/Models/goldbladed2.png
zeidan24
I guess id like the textures to be a bit darker, kind of like the iron weapons texture. Btw that looks awesome.
