Datashocker
Hey, sorry to be a necromancer, but I have this exact same problem with the same conditions. The problem didn't start until after installing the Elswyr mod and running TES4LODGen. Just wondering if you ever found a fix? This is really pissing me off. lco1138
I never did find a solution to this, I've just had to put up with it. Yeah, it annoys me greatly as well, but the strangest thing is that it continued to happen after a fresh reinstall on a vanilla game, in a different directory complete with a new .ini and everything. After that failed to resolve it, I kinda gave up hope in finding a fix.
Datashocker
Alright, thanks anyways. I'll continue to search the nets in hope of a fix. If I find one I'll let you know. EDIT: This guy seems to have the same problem, but no fix. EDIT 2: I think that the problem is with TES4LODGen, it must alter some file outside of the oblivion directory. That's the only reason I can think of that this problem would occur on a fresh install in a new directory.
Datashocker
Sorry about the double post. I think I'm close to figuring this out. The problem wasn't with TES4LODGen, I think it was with the oblivion engine altering the directx rendering driver. Again, this is only speculation. Im going to download the latest directx and see if that helps.
forli
I've the same problem (see page 1)But I have Windows 7 with DirectX 10 (I have problems even with Win XP and DirectX 9.0c)I've tried everything but the problem isn't DirectX and isn't Oblivion.ini.Even the mods aren't the source of the problem.I have deleted the LOD folder, run TESLodGen and every configuration, but I can't find the source of the problem.I have upgraded the ram (from 1GB to 2.5GB) without results.I don't think the problem is my graphic card (7300 GT, old but enough for Oblivion without texture mods) I think that the problem is the savegame that is corrupted. In my PC, if I start a new game, all work fine. The problems occur after some hours of gameplay. The only thing I can do is disable the Distant Land setting with a big quality loss.If you find any solution post it here. Datashocker
Thats nice that starting a new game works for you, but for Ico and me it persists in a new install with new saves
forli
I've tried to start a new game again.I exit the sewers; no problem.I travel to IC Market; no problem.I exit from Imperial City; LOD AGAIN  NOOOOO!!! So, no problem only the first time I enter in a cell. The next time... LOD :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: Why Bethesda has create this bugged LOD system? Why? Why? The solution is turn off LOD (so the problem disappear), but the view distance without LOD is ridiculous. There is any mod or setting in the ini that let you see far without LOD?- Everything but "uGridsToLoad": it just gave me enough glitch.- Really AEVWD will instantly kill my old 7300 GT and, for now, I can't upgrade it.- LOD Textures pack don't solve this problem.
