StormX312
I think everyone knows what I'm talking about. When you start up oblivion and enter the game world, your mouse isn't correctly captured to the full-screen game window. This results with the windows mouse pointer and the oblivion mouse pointer both being visible, and when you click, the game minimizes to the taskbar and you are brought to your desktop. Clicking on the game in the taskbar resolves this issue until you quit the game. In Fallout 3, it's even worse. This bug exists but when it minimizes, it essentially crashes the game in way so that you can still hear sound but the fallout 3 window is black and must be restarted (REALLY annoying if you forget to save). I'm using the steam version of oblivion so it is fully updated. It's obviously an engine bug. EDIT: Forgot to mention, you usually have to mouse your mouse around the screen as the mouse is SOMEWHAT captured to the game window. In my case, if I move my mouse in a left-upward manner, I will see the windows mouse pointer in the upper left of the full-screen game window eventually. To reproduce this bug, start up oblivion (must be in full-screen) and load/start a game. Move your character's view as if you were moving your mouse pointer to the VERY upper left corner of your screen, do you see a windows cursor? It also applies for the upper right corner but is harder to see. I've tried Google searches on this but I've only come up with other people complaining about the same thing and no solutions for it. :wallbash: Thanks in advance. bben46
I think you can minimize this by stopping as many background processes as possible. I have only seen this when using xfire.I use (FREE) Game Booster to stop other processes. The restart them when I'm finished playing. StormX312
You were right! I'm using xfire and that is what is causing it. Guess I shouldn't jump to conclusions next time.As for GameBooster, I also use it. Now I finally know what was causing that annoying glitch. Thanks!
