PullThePin07
So, the infamous I'm new thread... don't ya just hate those guys. Yeah, well I'm new and I can't help it, so any help would be awesome. I'm not saying that your help is required but ya know I'd really really like it if someone did help  Background (skippable)I've been modding Skyrim for quite some time now (since it's been out really) and by that I mean adding mods into the game, not actually making mods. And I've been wanting to play Fallout New Vegas for some time and finally bit it. I went and bought the complete edition or whatever that thing is. Anyways, after 2 hours of mod browsing I need a bit of help. What I know. This is all from Skyrim mind you. I've used TESedit, Mod Manager, BOSS, and Creation KitI know how to install mods manually and can do a few things with nifskope.I can work my way around the Creation Kit well enough most of the time if I need to tweak things to my liking.I've used Enb series since they've been popular. And sometimes I get lost. What I need help with (yay, we made it...woo hoo) After looking around forever (ok 2 hours, bite me) I'm kinda lost.In Skyrim I ran the game with 250 mods and pushed the thing as far as I could (bout half way what It can really become) I have a few pics in my profile of the nexus Skyrim section if that helps... I used Sevenbase body (dunno if that helps but it was a curvy body with figure and B to D sized breasts) and a male replacer as well (though I only saw one on here so I think I'mma pick dat one). So, what body mods are there? I keep seeing Type 3 everywhere but is that the only one or are there others? Also, are there armors for said body mods? How well supported are they? Are there any texture packs that do not have the infamous neck seam? *Note: I do like have very sexy characters but I also like having them immersive (I know, doesn't make sense) so even though the bodies are all smexy and what not I prefer clothes that are practical and cover them properly. None of the nipple slip stuff kinda thing if I can avoid it. Ya know, that whole thing where you leave some to the imagination...yeah...sometimes  **Note: Like I mentioned earlier I can just use some armors from armor packs cuz I can do dat manual thing. Next, Is there a popular order of texture packs to download? Example, download pack B first then pack X and overwrite B and then pack Z but don't overwrite anything. Or is it just all in one kinda thing? What is this activatinactivadadfdasdf whatever thing I keep hearing about? Something about telling the game that the new textures are ok to use...I think...? Is there a load order program like BOSS? Does load order even matter? Do I have to start the game first before adding mods to it? Is there a script extender like SKSE? Any unofficial patches to worry about? Last thing if you would be so kind. What are some of the must have mods? Ya know, the mods that are pretty much mandatory for anyone serious about playing the game. An example would be a UI mod for Skyrim called MCM. I am a big fan of immersion with Skyrim so are there any mods like that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (except the ones telling me to take a hike or to screw myself. That's just mean). Thanks everyone! Edited May 21, 2014 by PullThePin07
GodofWolves
script extender for FNVhttp://nvse.silverlock.org/ you can use boss but LOOT is also an option https://github.com/loot/loot/releases. if you are using boss then I would recommend using http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44745/? and I am making mod right now so someone else can help you with the rest.
