What game? we have 4 now, all slightly different. Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout3, Dragon Age

What Operating system? Winxp, Vista, Win7, Linux? 32 or 64 bit

Are you using an older computer? If so does it meet the requirements? (Mods will not work on consoles!)

Is your problem not being able to download? Not being able to install? Not being able to make mods work? or something else?

Is it a particular mod? or all mods?

User Error- TesNexus mods do work

Pretty much. Exacerbated by a complete lack of information that might lead us to help anyone experiencing a problem with a mod.

CLoner5, I've been downloading mods from TES Nexus for a good, long time. They've all worked, unless the mod author made an error (which they've freely admitted.) Probably 150 of the 230+ mods I'm currently running in Oblivion are from here.

So please do as bben46 suggests. Provide more information, and consider whether you're installing the mods correctly. Personally, I do all mine manually, never relying upon de-archiving. But that's up to you.

I have a set of help files for people who are not computer geeks and are new to Oblivion mods. They include downloading, extracting (unzipping) installing and activating mods. I have included a simple mod to practice on and instructions for installing and using 7-zip. If you are interested, click on the highlighted link below to be taken to the site where they are kept. I recommend starting with #1 and working your way through them.

If you use them I would appreciate some feedback as to what needs improvement and what works for you.

ok i KNOW how 2 dowload mods n what not but some mods won't work!

Listen, guy: he's giving you help. He's uploaded a bunch of articles he's written for people just like yourself (and just like we all were, at one time) to assist in getting Oblivion to run properly with mods. And if you'd bothered to look before you made an abrupt decision, you would have seen that those articles range from very basic to pretty far along, including stuff you need--such as Installing Your First Mod, and Recommendations for Loading Order. It wouldn't hurt to actually open the articles before you open your mouth, and see what's being offered to you, free of charge.

If these still don't help, a polite thank you and a request for more specific assistance would probably work wonders. Nuance is everything. I'm sure you know about that.

Reread the message I just wrote you for meaning. It says very plainly what articles you should read for help. After you do that, if you still need more assistance, let us know.
