Running in Slowmo?

As title says.

 

My character runs in slowmo, for some reason. And I can't find the cause. I did standard procedures and turned off mods that was allowed to be turned off without corrupting the save. But it still happens for some reason. I tried fixing the problem by doing a little cheat move, increasing my athletics and speed, but nope. Still the same slowmo speed.

 

And when I say slowmo, it's like -20x the regular speed, so my character is ALMOST frozen, except that it moves 5 feet in the minute.

 

This happens on several occasions...

 

1. Loading a new cell

 

2. Opening and closing the inventory.

 

3. Equipping and unequipping items, from inventory or hotkeys.

 

4. Randomly after entering the game, say about 3-5 mins in the game.

 

And now, it's been like that all the time. I restart the game, but still moving in slowmo. The attack speed is the same, no problem with that or other animations. Jumping does not make me move faster, same speed, but the height is the same.

 

So, has anyone encountered this problem before? If so did they find a solution that did not involve a re-install?

Thanks ben, but it really didn't work for me since the bytes were all normal values (According to OAF). Besides the Animations aren't really stuck, they just move really slowly.

This is really a shot in the dark, but do you have a joystick or tablet plugged in? If so unplug it.

How much 'stuff' are you carrying? some mods can allow almost unlimited carrying capacity. But the game has problems when you try to carry too much. It has to rescan everything you are carrying whenever you open a container, open your inventory, and other times.Try off loading most of your inventory into containers, then leave the cell where those containers are located.

 

BTW, the stuck animation bug does cause many animations to run very slow - open doors, fire, open containers, and if you are trying to move in an area where there is a moving flame it slows you way down.

Thanks for the assistance guys but I think i'll just restart it. My Oblivion folder feels like it's a mess right now and I want to get it back in order so i'm going to re-install it. Again.

 

I tried to unload all my stuff,

save the game,

turn off the game,

go back into the game,

load the saved game with no equips,

but I was still sort of stuck.

 

So my final decision and solution is a re-install. By the way thanks for the tip about the stuck animation fixer, i'll keep it in mind if I see something similar happening!

This has happened to me A LOT but I just discovered the (what I think) main cause.

 

I unknowingly had a joystick plugged in, so how Oblivion behaves with to controller systems is one overrides the other (joystick always wins). So just unplug (if you have one) your joystick. If it doesn't work, then I have no idea whats wrong.
