super mutants not using weapons? any ideas?

So im using MMM and FOOK 2 and loving it but something odd is going on, the super mutants equipped with assault rifles aren't using them but they are in their inventory when i kill them so i dont understand why its doing this lol. the ones with the hunting rifles and big guns use those its just the ones with assault rifles, anyone have any thoughts or ideas? thanks for any help u can offer! :thumbsup:

Guns probably aren't added to supermant guns form list. It defines what guns can be used by the supermutants if they aren't in the forms list the mutants wont use them.

Found this in one of the comments. You say they spawn with the ammo's and weapons in inventory so the leveled lists are most likely done. Which means u just need to make the esp for the form list as i said above. The form list is located under form list/Super mutant weapons. Open in it up and then just drag and drop all the weapons you want them able to use. Save and viola! Assuming u have the GECK.

 

"It's nothing difficult... But rather tedious.

First off, the FormID list of mutant-allowed weapons is buried deep inside fallout.esm, so you have to create a separate .esp for this to work.

Second, modified list will only let them use the weapons, not be spawned with them. So if they encounter such a weapon lying on the ground they may pick it up and use against any enemy. To make mutants spawn with different weapon you have to change leveled lists for muties... And now the fun begins. Such plugin has to be placed at the end of loadlist just to make sure it works. The funniest part: some mods change those lists and also introduce new ones...

If you use just FOOK, it's fairly simple - just load FOOK into GECK and change those lists. If you use MMM, do this with MMM. But if you use both... First off, check FOIP (type this into Nexus file search) and get the FOOK+MMM plugin. Make sure that it loads after both FOOK and MMM. GECK with FOOK and the FOOK+MMM plugin, change all the Mutant lists and do not forget to edit the FormID list accordingly.

Simple, huh?

Load the game, wait 3 days for cells to reset and check the muties' inventory.

What can I say... I almost crapped my pants when Master charged me with a shovel... "

hmm i think ill try the animation Quetzlsacatanango suggested and see how that works out all be it i should figure out your way to ecksile because i want to learn how to mod and the only way is to just start doing stuff like that lol. thanks for the help guys i really appreciate it!

o while i have your ear i was wondering if there was a way to get a characters id ingame or if i had to do it with G.E.C.K. i have looked around about the id and all i have really heard was it was in G.E.C.K. but i have never seen it said that u couldn't while in game, sorry i just thought i would ask instead of starting a whole new thread lol. Thanks for any help!
