Oblivion stutters every time alchemy ingridient is picked up

Game mini-freezes every time I attempt to harvest ingridient from a plant, which is especially noticeable when gathering in a rapid succession (i.e. Sacred lotus seeds). It happens regardless of location - outside or in the dungeon, stutter is there. I do have Alchemy Advanced installed, though deactivating it didn't solve a problem. Is there any way to get rid of this annoying freeze? Suggestions are appreciated.

UPDATE: I've just noticed, the stutter happens on ANY item pickup. Starting the new game, or reloading a very early save fixes the problem. Yet, Is there a way to fix it for my current savegames?

Solved: Looks like having "Allies for Bruma" quest active caused that stuttering. aking another quest active fixed the stutter.
