Jenrai
You're welcome. Wish I coulda helped a bit more. Tends to be easier when you're actually sat there. heh. As for the card, make it £60 (as I said, I know money don't grow on trees) and find your nearest Maplin. You can pick up those 1gb MSI Nvidia cards I mentioned for around £70 at the moment, so if you've got a wait on your hands they'll have likely come down more. I can grab them a little cheaper from my wholesaler, but thats not a right lot of use to you, unfortunately, considering he shouldn't really even be selling to me. defunkt
What the hell! You seem to have a WAY better processor than me currently, mine is very bad:"AMD Athlon 64 X2 4450E 2.3Ghz"(I have a Phenom 9850 coming from NA, though.) :) AND I had a very bad Video Card too: ATI HD3650 (256MB) + only 2GB RAM! (But I bought a 4770 (512MB) a week ago or so) I had very good FPS with that old setup even without polygon replacers or other performance enhancers. About 30 FPS in wilderness but in heavy combat it could dip a lot. Plus there was some random stuttering during loading on the fly but nothing crippling. Your FPS should be WAY better! There's certainly something very odd going on here !! I'm PUZZLED....... The issue could be something simple maybe? Not directly related, but just serving as an example:I recently had a problem (a simple, puzzling one) with some RAEVWD mod, when I installed it and used tes4lodgen, I had started to have HUGE loading times and when I uninstalled the mod and its meshes, and deleted the distantlod folder generated by the lodgen, I STILL had the loading times, and the load times were so annoying (like 5 minutes or so) to the point that I didn't want to play anymore. (Didn't want to reinstall the whole game...) Then I had an idea that "maybe I should delete the .ini file?" I did that and voila, fast loading times back. Your problem could be something very simple as that, one that you wouldn't think about at first. I really hope you could solve this, as you SHOULD NOT suffer from framerates like that.
