MooImATiger
Hey, as it sais im really lazy AND dont have photoshop, and even if i did i wouldnt know how to use it. so if you could just make a Daedric armor for me but, make it sort of a darker grey. not black, but greyish. also please give it a LITTLE TINY bit of fire, shock AND Frost resistancy and please call it "Daedric Armor of Darkness". As i said, simple. Right? So yeah i was just wondering if someone could make this for me, shouldnt take more than a day im guessing. Thanks for the help! :thanks:
Vagrant0
Don't need photoshop or any imaging editor for that matter since you don't actually need to change the texture, just change the shade. Instead, download Nifscope, download BSA Commander Extract the meshes for the armor from the meshes.BSA to any folder. Open the meshes in nifscope. In the Block details list, you'll see a listing NiMaterial which also happens to have the same name as the part of the armor you're working with. Right click on the name, leftclick on material, and you'll see a window with 4 triangles with 4 circles around each. These refer to the material color properties. Normally, Ambient, Diffuse, and Emmisive color is set to white. You can darken the armor by clicking on a point within the triangle that is closer to the bottom of the black circle. Just change those three that are set to white to be closer to a dark grey (look in the preview window), remember roughly where you have it set for the next piece, and click accept. Then, under file, click save as and give it a unique name that you can identify later. Repeat this process for all pieces of the set, and then move the altered meshes to a subfolder of data/meshes/armor. Then just make the desired enchantment in the CS, edit a duplicate of normal Daedric armor in the CS (so you can just change the name, link the enchantment, link the mesh, and save). Finally, place the armor pieces either in some exterior cell near your character, add them to a container that is placed in world somewhere, add them to an interior and make them owned by the player, or any of the other dozen or so methods of giving the armor to the player.More details can be found here:http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=39399&hl= It's so simple that a lazy person can do it. And if you're so super lazy that you can't, then why would anyone want to encourage your laziness? And just so you know, this isn't a trick I teach to just anybody, and it can be done with any simple shade change to any armor/model. David Brasher
Sorry to steal Vargant0's thunder, but I was already doing the project before he responded. I took up the challenge and made the mod in one long session which started in the afternoon and stretched late into the night. But the armor will not just be handed to you. You have to go on a quest and fight a couple of battles. If your character is too low-level, you might fail. The mod is now available and is located at this link: Daedric Armor of Darkness
MooImATiger
I may experiment with more, but to what vargant0 said, can i not just use OBMM instead of BSA commander?
