Alithinos
Hi! As you may have notice, both Fallout 3 and Stalker games are set at a post-apocalyptic world after nuclear explosions, and radiated scenery.I would really like to use and play a mod that makes Fallout 3 more like stalker...And by that I don't mean to import the guns of the other game which is a nice idea itself, but to bring more elements of stalker at Fallout 3 that reminds of Stalker, and such a thing would actually improve the game for lot's of people, even ones that never ever played Stalker after all.. Let me tell you some ideas: *A more vegetated world for instance. As we have seen at both Japan and Ukraine,a nuclear blast doesn't kill everything from nature. And because of that Stalker had some trees at some places, and even woods.Even if there aren't supposed to be forests at D.C. today, after 200 years of desertation there would be new trees grown up.The fact is,that I walk around the wasteland, and It feels so empty... There is nothing interesting sometimes where you just walk from place A to place B,and all you do for 30 or 40 minutes is just seeing rocks...At least some vegetation would put some more variety in the eye. Take a look at a pic of a really nuked place with forest http://www.erl.stir.ac.uk/images/services02.jpg * Radiation places, and geiger meter. You just walk around, and the possibility to meet an area with radiation is rare.Only at water..It would be a nice idea to put radiation across some large deserted - rock only areas of the map.It would make traveling around the map less boring, since you will have something to have in mind.Oh,and a geiger like ambience radiation meter would be a nice idea.Sometimes you just walk at contaminated areas, and you only know they are, after you have gain rads at your body.I believe it would be better if you had a geiger in your inventory that would sound clicks when you get close to a contaminated area, before you get hurt.Like it would make a sound 6 feet away from the source, that would get more rapid as you get close to the source. A real geiger meter. <Counts ambience radiation>http://www.deqtech.com/Ludlum/Images/m3a.jpg * Anomalies Im talking about anomalies in the environment.. Where things start fly in the air like they have no gravity,or where a fireball flies around and such stuff.. An anomalyhttp://tech2.in.com/media/photogallery/stalker_010_450x360.jpg * Artifacts Artifacts in Stalker are super - rare things well hidden, that act like the enchanted items of Oblivion. As long as you have them equipped you get effects. Some are with good effects, some with bad effects and some others with both. For example,an artifact could add +X points at one skill. +X points at another, and -X to another. * Radiation signs We're talking about a nuclear wasteland, where people exist and live, and there are not any radiation signs at all !!Isn't that something that should be there ? Since it's nuked, and everything from the water you drink,to the rats you eat are contaminated with radiation, wouldn't it be reasonable to see some radiation signs here and there ? Here are a few: http://beto.files.wordpress.com/2007/02/newradsymbol.jpg http://clipmarks.com/image_cache/countryboylife/512/601EE471-CA1F-4ABF-A042-4213C1E032F7.jpg http://www.personalizedsignshop.com/images/products/772-07510b1.jpg * Emissions Those are nuclear emissions. They happen rarely at the game at a random. You just start to hearing a sound coming from away, and the sky's colour changes..red!The colour of fire! Fire in the skies!! You usually have 2 minutes to find shelter inside a building,or else the emission kills you. After the emissions, sometimes zombified people <caused by the emission> search for flesh!!!  It just would be marvellous if that was happening somewhere at Fallout 3,and then some Ghouls were coming to your place looking for their next lunch !! Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_uGaM4SQvw I hope someone will find my ideas interesting, and will try to do something!
ecksile
1. There was a mod that was going to add much of this but it was a while back and i believe it was abandoned because the work involved =[. 2. There are also a few mods that add much vegetation search for Green or Grass. 3. There are stalker muties and stalker weapons and armors Just search TOXA and Stalker. 4. Referring to 2 You need to remember that STALKER only a power plant reactor exploded releasing a bunch of radiation. In fallout 3 Tons of nukes wer dropped burning the lands vegetation to dust and then because of this causing climate change which in the game we assume made the wasteland into what it is. CommanderCrazy
Climate change / Global warming is a lie.Just think, Over the history of the Earth, there has been periods of extreme heat and then an ice age. That just gets Rinsed and Repeated."If the history of the Earth was the 24 hours in a day, Then human population would amount to about 3 seconds & When talking about humans in their Homo Sapien form, About half a second." Quote from Matthew Reilly's Ice Station.(Which I conveniently read that line not 10 minutes ago :P Its a good book.) That cycle (Heat, Ice Age) Has been repeated for millions of years. Enough of the off topic stuff, I think this mod would catch on should someone have the time & patience to fully complete it.The hard part IMO would be the emissions / anomalies. That just gets Rinsed and Repeated.I think he's alluding to a less formal definition of climate change; specifically, the kind that might be induced if one were to saturate the surface of the planet in nuclear hellfire. ecksile
 I was actually reading that even if the world had an extremely large scale nuclear war that the climate wouldn't be affected with a nuclear winter. Also that the tons of dust thrown into the atmosphere wouldn't happen either or at least not long enough to actually make a climate change. It read that the propaganda was highly over rated and that even scientists couldn't agree or something like that. I read this a while ago though so the facts might be a little inaccurate from my bad memory, but it did read something like that. They gave numbers and stuff though in their report.
