Malikin
I am using FOMM. I am really not sure I am doing any of this correctly.I get this in my Load Order Report. *this mod does not exist in the current template. I really do not know what I am doing in all of this. From download to install and then using the mods. I needs some major help here. I am going back and reading all the descriptions on the download pages. But some do not have the info. Can you guys please help me. I know i am asking for a lot of someone's time. I really appreciate it.
Zumbs
It means that the mod is not found in the current master load order. It is quite normal, as the master load order is still very much a work in progress. The main point is that you have to figure out where to place the mod yourself. Hopefully the mod author has some comments on where to place the mod (check out the readme that came with the mods).
Red62
what i do is start up the main launcher and select everything including the "Load loose files" before starting up FOSE, but that's with FOSE, i don't know if it'll do the same thing with FOMM (i'm a beginning modder: i've just done faces and simple stuff so far, more use to modding Halo at a basic level too)
Zumbs
Ok, I have made some progress. I have a few mods working. Now I am on to my next problem. After some reading i discovered that my red triangles with "!" in them is because of meshes. When I copied meshes to the folder, I was keeping them in folders as I went. Should I take them all out and just have a giant list of the meshes in my mesh folder? I do nto know what I am doing wrong, please help. You should keep the folder structure of the mod, you downloaded. If you do not, the game will be unable to find the meshes in question. If the mod includes a meshes folder, it should be copied to the data folder. As an example, a mod may come looking like this: /meshes /textures somemod.esp Depending on the instructions in the readme, these files and folders should be copied to your Fallout 3/Data folder. Another common way of packaging mods is to package them in a folder, named as the mod, eg. /somemod /meshes /textures somemod.esp In this case, you should copy the contents of the folder, that is the entire meshes and textures folder and the somemod.esp to your Fallout 3/Data folder. Missing meshes usually comes when you fail to copy the meshes folder correctly. Try to open the Fallout 3/Data/Meshes folder. If it contains a folder called meshes, copy the contents of that folder to your Fallout 3/Data/Meshes, and similar for your Fallout 3/Data/Textures.
