Cursor not showing up

Recommended Posts

For some reason, the cursor that's supposed to show up on the main menu, pause menu and Pip-Boy isn't showing up at all for me. I literally can't get past the main menu once the launcher loads because I can't click anything, and exiting FNV requires me to force a shutdown of my system.

How the hell did this happen and how the f*#@ do I fix it? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as verifying integrity (just re-did it, shows one file got screwed up and "will be reacquired" - been giving me that the last three times), nothing has worked. I'm honestly clueless as to how exactly I managed to do this, and I need all the help I can get.

Also, the pop-up box for DLC loading has blurry edges, rather than the lines that it should. I'm fairly sure that's an .ini tweak, but I know I didn't touch that.

Hmm, I remember an issue like this a while ago. Try editing the following values in the FalloutPrefs.ini file.

[Controls]
fForegroundMouseAccelBase=0
fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0
fForegroundMouseBase=0
fForegroundMouseMult=0
bBackground Mouse=0
bBackground Keyboard=1

[Interface]
bDisable360Controller=1

Also unplug any controllers you might have attached.

I was able to fix it, actually. Just had to delete fallout_default.ini, fallout.ini and fallout_prefs.ini, plus a bunch of other stuff left over from when I installed DarnUI and a few other mods, then verify integrity via Steam.

Kind of a round-about method, but at least it worked!
