New game crash

I got "Fallout 3 game of the year edition" and got it to install, but every time i click new game, it crashes. I got it to install correctly, mabey it is because i got a 64-bit vista system, i dunno :confused:

goty is really buggy try patching the game and running it on compatability mode of windows xp,

I doubt that. I fear your problem is that you bought a Bethesda game. :confused:

well, i have TES:oblivion and it works just fine

Have you installed it to a different directory other than your Program files one? This often helps with Vista.

Any luck sorting out this problem yet?

 

I bought my GOTY Fallout 3 through Steam, and I have exactly the same problems. Running Windows 7 32-bit. Tried all the codec fixes, disabling Windows LIVE etc. Different drivers and more, but nothing solves the problem. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
