Construction Set will not find esm and esp automatically

I have problem with my construction set even with reinstallation.

after I install CS, icons of both esm and esp won't be changed to CS icon.

eventhough icons wont change after the installation of CS, I can manually set CS to open esm and esp via 'open with' option.

however the problem is that icons are still not properly CS icon.

 

I just uploaded a picture of my icon

my esm/esp icons look like the left one, whereas proper icons are supposed to look like one on the right.

can anyone please help me fix this problem? is there anyway to do it on registry?

That is not nesessary, I think. Opening CS first and loading files through it's menu really seems more comfortable and safe. But I think you can simply right-click on a esm/esp file, choose "open with program" and click "always use this program" for CS, like with any other program.

It could just be some altered settings or something. Did you get the download of the CS from another site other than the official Oblivion website?

 

If I were you, I'd still try to use it anyway. If it doesn't load the files in the esp.s or esm.s in the editor, then you'll probably have to either find another download of the CS or reinstall it.
