The Hunt

Well, here we go. If you did see my post about modding positions open, you might have wondered for what. Well here ya go, a list of planned features.

 

-Several large(ish) islands with plenty of creatures to hunt.

-Plenty of fully optional (but beneficial) quests.

-Multiple factions of hunters which are at war.

Random attacks on eachothers camps.

The ability to buy upgrades for camps to, for example, lengthen the time between attacks, weaken attackers, etc.

-(Slightly Random) Doors in the shape of obstacles (climbing rocks for example) that will allow you into new areas, if you have the acrobatics requirement.

-New creatures (retextured creatures)

-Special clothing that has benefits in certain areas

-Archery abilities (Triple shot, anyone?)

-A text based trading system where you use pelts and other things acquired from animals to acquire other objects. No gold involved!

 

That's all I can think of right now. Obviously, this many features in a mod requires more than just me, so if anyone would like to help let me know. PLEASE! This is like the third site I've used for help!

Do you know how to implement these effects? Sounds awesome. I especially like the clothing that only bonuses in certain cells and the climbing rocks ideas. I will use these ideas myself, along with ladders you can activate to teleport you up/down stories and ledges. If you need any help with scripting these features, let me know and I will do what I can to help. Another idea might be to use an invisable activator object that you place in the same place as the rocks. It might help save some trouble creating a million different rocks. That is the way I implemented my scripts to work on the ladder, leaving the ladder itself as a regular 'static' object (not realy, but just not connected anywhere).

Well I'm not exactly what you'd call an *expert* scripter (cough I suck cough). Help with a few of these ideas would be much appreciated. The climbing rocks are actually just doors so clearly not as spectacular as you might think, although that could change. Anyway, back to the point. I would love your help.
