cforestdark
i was a little bummed out by my vampire character. when my character became infected, she ended up looking like an old grey catcher's mit. ended up loaded from a previous save to stop being one of the undead. anyone else think the look of vapires character's is a little lame? i know it's a pretty minor complaint. vampire abilities are pretty cool, but i just don't want a character that looks like an 80 year old freak. hopefully i will be diving into the construction set soon to replace the eye and skin textures for every level of vampirism. anyone else thought about modding vampires? Aeothan
hopefully i will be diving into the construction set soon to replace the eye and skin textures for every level of vampirism. Let me know when ya do! I will be interested in some new eye textures for my character. anyone else thought about modding vampires? Lotsa people have. :P There are a few "vampire" mods out there... well, a few being like one or two... but yeah. I don't think there are any vampire mods related specifically to the appearance of the vampires, though. I've tried to make a mini-mod that involves modifying the vampire script. If you open it up in the CS, you'll notice that there's about 10 lines dedicated to the vampire "dreams" you can have. I've attempted to insert my own, hand-written dreams in there, but there's a text limit. So I was thinking about making a seperate script dedicated to just the vampiric dreams, and have the original vampire script simply branch off to the new script at the same spot the original script would produce a dream. But of course I haven't gotten around to learning how to do that. ;D If you figure out a way, or have the same interests as me (I love vampires in this game!), PM me! ;)
loveme4whoiam
Does anyone else think the vampires are a bit wussy? I've just completed a quest (shan't say which one, obviously) in which I had to fight three of them. Not that I'd have been able to take them all on at once, but the Vampire Scout and Vampire Nightmage ones were pretty easy to take down at level 5/6. Although, the first one I ran into gave me a proper hiding before I toasted his backside with a fireball :B Are they levelled creatures? This would explain how I beat the othet two easily yet the scripted guy kicked me up and down.

Did you see what your character looked like at 100% vampirism? It's rather obvious then. Anyway, at 100% your teeth jut out and your jaws sink in. I think it looks pretty cool, personally. -.-

Anyway, at 100% your teeth jut out and your jaws sink in. I think it looks pretty cool, personally. -.- I agree. The only thing I had a problem with is the first-level vampire's face. The lore of the world says Cyrodiil vampires are indistinguishable from non-vampires when they're fully fed. However, in-game, when you're at the "lowest level" of vampirism (aka, fully fed), you still look old and decrepid. If you want to make first level vampirism like the in-game lore, then check out this link. That mod works really well, just make sure you read the little warning (nothing big, but you must make sure you do it). ;) That was the main problem I had. ;D And the eyes could use a little work, but I'm on "eh" terms with those. CaptainPuffy
i tryed to play as vampire, i go at sunlight, i'm not imortal :Dand no need to drink blood... nothing happend. I defenatly think that Vampires should have been done differantly in this game. I made my Character a Blue Eyed Albino because I wanted him to stand out, and as soon as I became a Vampire I looked normal. Even at Level 4 of Vampirism, you still dont look that scary. I like the eyes, but it would be cool if the longer you went with out blood the more pale/grey your skin would get rather then becomming more pink. There are Day walker and Reverse Vampire mods, as well as another mod that allows you to keep your face when you're only on Level 1 of vampirism. I also though that Vampires were lacking in their powers department, some powers I would have liked to see: 1) The abilty to drink the blood of those that have fallen to your blade2) Becomming more powerful as you drink more blood. (Limit the power increases to say 2 per level)3) As you become more powerful, provide the vampire with additional powers.4) At the higher levels start gaining Constant Effect Spells. (Charm within 15 ft Constant Effect)
vethiel
I dont know why, but when ever I accept to become a vampire from the Vamp int the dark brother hood he requests that I wait three days after he bites me and then sleep again, then I should be a vampire right? But it never works. Any Ideas what I am doing wrong?

But it never works. Any Ideas what I am doing wrong? Sounds like a possible glitch. I would suggest you turn off all mods, then wait 3 days (72 hours) and then sleep for one more Full day. If you're still not turning after you're sure you've been bitten, then check your stats and your appearance to see if you have any of the vampire powers. I dont remember if I got a message or not that said I had turned.Try becomming infected while fighting vampires in one of their caves. Worst case sceneraio you are going to have to reload the game, or not become a vamp.
