ptbptb
Hey,I've downloaded some clothing for oblivion, and then when I'd add the esp, then I'd test if it worked. But then I don't see clothing, and the only thing I see is a yellow thing with a ! in it. Missing mesh. If you just added the .esp then don't forget that you need some Textures and Meshes as well. Check the contents of your download again and read the readme to be sure you didn't miss anything.
saartje1
I DID add the meshes and textures,I'd put them in a map IN the Data-map,because if I add the textures and meshes of another download, then it wants to write over and stuff.I'd read the Readme, but it won't work. ptbptb
I DID add the meshes and textures,Didn't say so though, did you?I'd put them in a map IN the Data-map,because if I add the textures and meshes of another download, then it wants to write over and stuff.Possibly you've put them in the wrong folder inside Data. Note that it is not unusual for mods to overwrite other stuff and it doesn't necessarily mean there will be problems because of that. It would probably help if you posted the link to the mod you're having trouble with.
bben46
Of course the mods overwrite other stuff. That's what Mods do, they are modifications and if you do not allow them to overwrite, then there will be no modification. Always answer yes when it asks if you want to overwrite. It actually appends the new info without loosing any of the original stuff. Your original (Vanilla) meshes and textures are protected from being changed on the hard drive, the overwriting is done each time you start the game, and is not permanent. Megatarius
Yeah, you have nothing to worry about. The folders themselves are the only things rewritten. The information inside is preserved because the new meshes and textures are new files. Just to clarify it even further.
