What are the best mods?

I decided to scrap my old mods folder and go with a torrent collection :wallbash: . I still have BTmod, Midas Magic, Deadly Reflex, and The Lost Spires. I would be VERY grateful if you guys could give me some tips on some of the better ones  . I am using GOTY, Shivering Isless, Knights of the Nine, and Frostcrag Spire. Also, I use the console A LOT so anything that can be achieved through the console is useless to me :whistling: . Also, I am looking for an un-balanced gaming experience (eg: No magicka and gold cost to enchant). I am to lazy to transfer the whole list into a text document so the list is here. :thanks:

Keep in mind that downloading packs of mods like this is not necessarily a good way to go.

Many of them are highly likely to be out of date and could possibly cause problems. The few I looked at have been updated and a lot of them are not going to work together.

For example, even if you don't wish to use it Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul is version 1.23 in that list. That was out of date years ago and the current version is over 400mb compared to 18mb.

If you want cheat mods you'd be better off searching the Categories section of Tesnexus and reading the comments and descriptions of the files if you value your game and don't wish to re-install very quickly.

It is admittedly kind of...well, foolish to download a bunch of outdated mods when you have a source for freshly baked ones right here in front of you.

As for the best, please be more specific. Are you looking for quest mods? Companions? Mods that increase the beauty of the terrain at the expense of speed, or lower the view to increase speed? Mods that change the magic system, or mods that add weapons, or armor?

And realize, please, if you answer "yes," we'll probably all hit you. ;)

You want an unbalanced experience? Then just toggle God mode and thats all you need. However, my top three mods are...

S.P.A.M. Its a "balanced" way of leveling up without having to plan out what skills to use to level when you want to with all +5's. Here you can get 13 points every level up no matter what skills you've used, and if you want you can alter it to always get +5's. Without it I wouldn't even be playing.

Viconia. Very cool companion mod. She never lets you down in combat unlike every other companion out there, can have both a sword and a bow in her inventory and she switches depending on the situation (Same with armor and clothes). She is voiced, has her own back story, there is romance and a great evil. Really really great mod.

Auto Recharge. Very simple mod, at midnight every enchanted weapon goes back to max uses, and this is perfectly balanced and should have already been in the game, however if your weapons don't need recharged it can get unbalanced, you get a varla stone for later use, and I've got over 70 of them in a box at my house (Carry around 10), so there is a little imbalance for you (But IMO, the alternative, the crappy soul capture mechanic, justifies it).

I use I dunno, maybe twenty-something mods, not alot compared to alot of these guys, but these three are the ones I'd take, if I could only have three, in this order, though it is very hard to choose between Viconia and S.P.A.M. (Assuming Viconia could work without CM).

EDIT: Honorable Mention... Reneer's Guard Overhaul. Now if the guard didn't see it, or wasn't told, or doesn't see other guards attacking you, as far as he is concerned, it didn't happen.
