Xzanthos
I can't say anything about the installation folder because I've never even seen a program files (x86) folder before. But it is highly inadvisable to install Fallout 3 in it's default installation directory (That being the program files folder). Why? Search forums and/or google - Will find an extensive discussion about it. But I'm actually quite puzzled because it works fine for me. I don't have it installed in the default directory or not even in the same drive as my OS (Drive doesn't matter really). If all else fails you can try to reinstall Fallout 3. I installed it in this order: G4WL Redis. installationFallout 3Fallout 3 1.7 PatchUnofficial Fallout 3 PatchFOMMFOSEEverything else I wanted (mods etc.) Done this same routine a few times and haven't had that kind of a lockup ever. I have the Fallout 3 normal DVD version (bought the same day it came to stores quite a time ago) of it and not the newer GOTY edition and I have none of the DLC's either. But because the "Continue Dreaming" option lets you play it without crashes/lockups etc. that would suggest, atleast to me, that the problem is with FWE or some part in the FWE installation. Could part of the archive you downloaded be corrupted or something like that? I'm running out of advice at this point and anything I write after the last sentence is just filler that isn't really helpful. Sorry. This is my first playthrough really, (started it months ago without FWE but never finished) So I think I'll just play through this way first. I'll try uninstalling it and putting it in a new directory after this run through (assuming no further crashes). Definitely appreciate the advice, and your time.
