Balakirev
I can't find anything, just an old merged ESP of Sorcha's for TNR and NPC's New Clothes--with both versions out of date. (And a mod that changes mage guild robes to give them more...of a draft.) What I have in mind are instructions of a mod or mods that lets you add clothes (like Growlf's, AlienSlof's, or the far more innocent ones) to the NPCs in general for their wear, correctly distributed for type, instead of just available for purchase by the player in specific stores, or on dead bodies, or in chests. David Brasher
Most NPCs in towns that have speaking parts and are involved in quests and such have a particular outfit they are assigned to wear. A mod would have to go in and change their outfits one by one. It would be really easy to change the leveled lists for the other characters though. The three main categories of clothing are lower class, middle class, and upper class. So if you had a bunch of nice dresses and court attire, you could remove the vanilla items from the upper class leveled list and put in your own. If there were particular NPC's you hung around, like the count in the town where your house is, you could manually go in and change his outfit to one of your custom ones. A more destructive approach would be to remove your vanilla clothing meshes from your directories and substitute your models with exactly the same names. So you could replace every instance of the Green Brocade Doublet (UpperShirt01) by naming your custom model of Red Velvet Finery to UpperShirt01. If you ever tired of your changes, you would have to hunt down and remove every single one of them from every directory you tinkered with, and they would be well-camouflaged because they would have the same names as the vanilla items. Would I have to maintain the integrity of the various texture names in the folders you mention? Substitute new DDS files I'd chosen with the same names as the files in, say, the upperclass folder, now? I'd assume so, but I feel the need to ask.
