Teotzlcoatl
Then you don't much like RPGs do you? That what Oblivion was... it was trying to get the game out to more people to make more money... instead of being true to itself and it's fan-base. shadowmadnezz
I remember the first time I played Morrowind, I was dumped into a world full of weird and wonderful people none of whom liked me. The tutorial was basically "this is a weapon, this is magic, now get lost", it may have been a little confusing at the time but it forced me go out and discover things for myself. Thats what i loved about morrowind, you HAD to actually go out, and explore. No fast travel, no grand quest to save the kingdom Lol once u leave that lil office with ur bum clothes n lil dagger ur like where the heck am I??!
MonsterHunterMaster
Yeah the fighting system have could be a little easier, but not as easy as the fighting system in Oblivion...
Gam0rdude
Oblivion couldve been an expansion pack for morrowind...and i wish they would remake daggerfall and arena! evilmicevil
If you ask me Oblivion was a thousand times better then morrowind.. i cant stand those strategy games where you got a shield and he just stands there not using it because his stats are not high enough...its unrealistic...that’s also why i didn’t like fallout 1 or 2 But one thing Morrrowind had that i missed in Oblivion was those big ass banks in that tall city (i cant remember what its called i have played in years) but i had a ball robbing them and running like hell Also Morrowind had a neat world
Teotzlcoatl
Ok guys... BESIDES the fighting system (cause you people obviously don't like RPG type games which is what Morrowind IS, and if you ask me, what TES is SUPPOSED to be) Morrowind is better than Oblivion. Zephyr2011
I definitely agree that Oblivion was a let down. I played Morrowind religously for years then got Oblivion. I went back to morrowind in less than three months. I later modded the hell out of Oblivion and sprinkled some stuff into Morrowind to add a few more things. Morrowind's immersion was fantastic and I never felt like doing the main quest was necessary (heck I only played through the main quest line once and that was after I'd played morrowind for nearly four years) and I could just play through the game as I will I often solely played side quests and guild quests and didn't touch the main quest line beyond talking to casades to get that annoying piece of clutter package out of my inventory. Whereas in Oblivion if I want to go slay some daedra in any kind of numbers I have to go through part of the main quest ugh and also in Fallout 3 you have to finish the waters of life before enclave even shows up (unless you have mods of course). However I did enjoy the smoothness of Oblivion's combat it looked good and different however I felt like my movement had little to do with my attacks aside from power attacks so I definitely wish that eliment from morrowind was brought back and that weapons did different damage based upon how you hit with them. A fencing rapier shouldn't deal the same damage stabbing as it does slashing or chopping that's just common sense. Oblivion also had great graphics but it definitely needed to be larger. I'd like Beth to remake Morrowind exactly as is however use the Oblivion engine and fix all of the graphics if a few modders can atleast sort of get that going (Morroblivion) surely Beth could do it and they already have most of the ground work it's just a matter of tweaking things mostly.
