kailebw
There are no meshes in my oblivion folder. Everyone says it should be in "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data" but I can't find it. Any ideas why and where they are?
Jenrai
Do you mean the directory is missing completely? As in its installed somewhere else, or what? That is the default installation directory if you didn't change anything during in the install process. David Brasher
If you want to mod and to have access to all the meshes in Oblivion, you will need to unpack them using the downloadable utility BSA Commander. If you have not done this, or have not downloaded any mods with new meshes, your Data folder will be sort of empty. If you just can't find where Oblivion is on your hard drive, search again. Go slowly and carefully and look everywhere. You can use the automatic search function, but it can be very slow or can miss things if you give it the wrong instructions. bben46
Both meshes and textures are located in Oblivion\data\meshes, and Oblivion\data\textures. usually these Textures and meshes folders are automatically created the first time you copy a mod into data. Then used by any other mods that need them. If you want, you can create them yourself, and any mods will automatically use them when they find them there. DO NOT unpack the bsa files unless you are making a mod and not just using them.
