Spazzrising
I'm trying to use the Day 2 character from Dragon Age Redesigned. I put the erf file into my override, but the readme says to "enable the effect from the Dragon Age Toolset." I don't know what to do with it in the toolset, is there a tutorial somewhere that explains it?
theskymoves
I'm trying to use the Day 2 character from Dragon Age Redesigned. I put the erf file into my override, but the readme says to "enable the effect from the Dragon Age Toolset." I don't know what to do with it in the toolset, is there a tutorial somewhere that explains it? An ERF is an archive... like a a zip, or rar. The toolset should be able to read the contents of the ERF. The day2.erf contains just one eye texture: pn_eye_hdseries2_0d.dds. There is no morph file included; rather, it is a modder's resource. To use the texture, open (or create) the MRH you'd like to add it to in the toolset. The eye texture field is in the second tab of the Object Inspector (02. Part selection). Click in the field to be edited (3. Eye Texture); and then on the ellipsis button that will appear. A list of the available resources will open, which should include the relevant asset (pn_eye_hdseries2_0d). If for some reason the toolset is not 'seeing' the texture, it can be extracted from the ERF very easily. Drag and drop the ERF into toolset (or open it as a file) > select the resource to be extracted > Edit > Extract resource. Place the extracted texture into the My Docs override, and restart the toolset. Edited May 29, 2014 by theskymoves
Spazzrising
Thanks for the quick reply, unfortunately I do not seem to be smart enough to do anything with the Dragon Age Toolset despite the various tutorials I've looked up. I think I'll just stick with some presets, they look pretty good as well.
