I did stack the death percentages high to take in other variables like survivors with terminal illnesses being triaged, instantaneous justice, and other not-so-nice human factors. Even so, in this scenario 40% of humanity would survive to see things stabilize and I theorize within one generation people would be organized enough to start rebuilding.
