stars2heaven
I posted this a while back in another forum but never got any replies. But now that Im finally done with the area and still havent thought up something to put in there for a reward, Ive decided to try one more time here. Here is What Im up to. http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/1190175-1263356713.jpg This is an optional and hidden side area in a mod Im currently working on called "The Ring of Scale". I have numerous hidden locations to find throughout the mod, each with its own unique and interesting treasure to be found. In this particular area there is a shrine to Sheogorath. The "Fungus Grove" is home to some very small humanoids who worship him. They also guard an artifact. The item could be anything, I've been considering using a mask. But I have been having a hard time coming up with ideas for special abilities granted, or taken away, by this artifact when used. I do want it to be something rather quirky and crazy, just like Sheogorath. The only thing off the table is me having to model something new. I cant do that. But I am good at scripting, so I may be able to make all sorts of things possible so long as....it's possible. Anyways, anyone have any ideas? zprospero
Well, it's not a great idea, but ties in well with Sheogorath. Maybe it givesyou the incredible ability to summon cheese, something I long for in real life. It's kind of useful in that Cheese is a an alchemy ingredient. It could also shout in Sheogorath's voice 'CHEESE FOR EVERYONE!'Since that MP3 already exists. (By the way, I can make mask meshes, so if you want a custom one...) I would think that if it's Sheogorath it should have a dual nature, or itchanges it some way every now and again. All of SI involved some formof duality (even Dawn/Duskfang). So, maybe for Mania, it summons cheese, and forDementia it does something a little more violent. stars2heaven
lol, I like the cheese idea, and since there is an MP3 available all the better. I also like the duality aspect. The first item I made is very usefull in acquiring the second if the player remembers to use it. I think I may make the other aspect of this item useful in acquiring the third object I make. Ill have to give that one some more thought though, as it would have to be relevant to the next item. I dont have to do that though, so more ideas are welcome for any aspect. Also, thanks for the idea. I dont know why Im having such a hard time with this one.
alonsomartinez
This might seem kinda strange but I was thinking about making this a couple of weeks ago but how about a playable frying pan that can be used as a blunt weapon. When Jygallag stormed Sheogoraths Palace ( the second time ) his Knights Of Order killed all of the Golden Saints and Seducers.Meanwhile Sheogorath was enjoying his usual dinner of Boar Meat with a side of cheese when he sees them coming.Since he ddnt have any weapons on him he grabbed a frying pan that was on the table and used it to fight off the Knights. When he held it it got imbued with some magical property that fortifies your Blunt skill 20 points and it summons a dark seducer to you anytime in the Si. stars2heaven
I just thought maybe a fungul atronoch. I remember seeing a cheese atronoch somewhere. I dont know how hard it would be for me to make though. It's another idea for a more destructive side to the item, and somewhat related to the area its found in. Hah! The stranger the better. If I could find a model for a frying pan or if one already exists I might be able to do it. I dont know much about making weapons though. alonsomartinez
Ive seen frying pans somewhere but their static.I bet it would be pretty easy if you ask a modder if they can turn it into a weapon for you since the model and texture is already done. theuseless
I would think that since sheogorath is the madgod, you should do something in the lines of madess/intoxication. You could make a mask that when potions are drank, it adds some kind of intoxicating effect. You could even make it so that the mask gave you super powers, but also spawned a randomized enemy that only attacks you, only you can detect. When the enemy is dead, another one spawns. But that's alright because the mask gives you super powers. You can kill anything, hallucination or not. You could also make it a helm that removed the negative effects of alcohol, adding more bonuses. Only one problem, you become waaaaaaay more addicted. No booze, no life. Kinda like felldew, but not so quick to progress. You could make a 'special' set of alchemy equipment that allows you to make new and unique potions/poisons. These could have any range of effect, from summoning bound items to summoning them on your enemies (remove that burly sword or help out some lame companion). It could include a health potion that is equippable as a poison, so you could shoot your companion with a bow to heal them. More twists and reversals of reality. What about a placeable static object of a creature, such as a clanfear. When activated (through messagebox script or greater power), the 'statue' comes alive, your own indestructible golem. You could only do this once or twice a day of course. What about a sword that when equipped made you mad? It could add topics to conversation that elicit strange responses. It could also replace some vanilla dialogue to make you hear things. It could make you hear conversations that aren't there. It could randomly unequip, leaving you with a boquet of flowers afterwards, forcing you to re-equip it (or something else). He is also somewhat spiteful, along with the crazy. What about a sword that gets better every time you are hit by a human? If you aren't hit by a human within an hour or so, it resets to a lower level. So it could have a couple of levels of burly. Once fully activated through hack and slash (and bleeding into it), it could be amazing, only to reset when you sleep or stop fighting. Maybe have it reset every 6 hours to lowest level so its not too abused. How's about a set of armour that randomly assigns its shield level each time you are hit? This could be a leveled effect, so level 5 would set the AC at 0-5 and at level 50 could set it at 10-40. These variables are obviously not realistic, but could serve as an idea. How does a morphing sword sound? You could rip the BSAs from artifacts and armementarium and make the sword change color, adding and removing effects. So if the sword is red it is a bloodthirsty +20 sword, -10 light armour, -10 heavy armour. Then it could turn blue after quenched by however many kills. Blue would give you +200 MP, -10 endurance, -10 speed. Then if you cast a spell at night, it turns red again. Making it hard to control is key. Whatever effect you decide to use (one of mine or somebody else's) I think you need to make it somewhat random or hard to predict. Sheo likes to keep us on our toes. I got pleanty of madness myself, let me know if you want more ideas. I could go on for hours. I've been called crazy more than once (in a serious tone lol). Not stupid, just mad. Too much felldew as a youth. -edit- I like the frying pan idea. Totally mad and also lore friendly! What if it gave you a piece of cheese every time you strike somebody? zprospero
I make weapons too, by the way. So, I could make a frying pan pretty easily. Actually if you hit someone with it and then it drops cheese, that would kind of have the duality built in. It involves both pain and indulgence.
