piepiemagna
link: Wow. that is the atmosphere I wanted when I bought oblivion, that music, the feeling of being in another world. I didnt know this mod existed and am going to try it. has anyone here tried it? also I think the forums should be a bit livelier, i know its hard because the game is single person and everybody has their own mods but i think us sharing our experience with oblivion modding with each other, be it including telling life stories about oblivion or whatever it would make the playing mods and modding obv experience much richer. talk about any other similiar mods (or not so similiar) too :D
JCP768
It doesn't touch music, the music is just there because bg's version of fraps doesn't record sound. The mod is 'strictly' a quest mod. The quotes are because it does other things too like guild guides, a romance, houses, guilds, buyable paintings, etc. I'm currently on part 15 of a walkthrough for the mod, it's really great. I started playing Oblivion like 2 or 3 years ago, and before that the closest thing I played to Oblivion was like.... Grand Theft Auto Games, and MMORPGs, what I was used to was stuff like Deus Ex, KOTOR 2, Jade Empire, Fallout1-2, and stuff like that which is really lacking in Oblivion. By that I mean: Multiple solutions, recognition of things you've done, stat checks, and all of that added depth. Integration however brings that stuff back to Oblivion with race checks, stat checks, faction checks, 'backdoors', making changes slowly on the world based on things you do.(Guild guides, getting a certain decree revoked, etc.). Not to mention the size of it, the maturity of it, the romance, and all that dialogue and character depth. For someone who's favorite game is Deus Ex it was something that I desperately needed in my Oblivion. As for the music, apparently it's from Sacred 2, you can add most music to your game by simply placing it in:Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Musicyou have to select when you want it play as well by putting it in a folder named Battle, Dungeon, Explore, or Public. Hey JCP, I agree on about what you said about closest thing to oblivion,, and what you meant by it, because I feel the same way about the game. its like, you are struggling hard to love the vanilla oblivion, yet its all like a fake mask, like a ferrari outer shell without the seats or engine inside, it was just lacking in content. i mean, the NPCs did their daily stuff, but how often do you find them sharing their daily stuff with you? its like they do their best to EXCLUDE you out of their lives, and yet tease you by having this so called "radiant" ai I think a mod which creates so much more npc interaction, and just more realism in oblivion would be great. I am thinking of learning and doing some of the stuff, but I just dont have time. will try and make some though what other music do you play in oblivion? i will upload my oblivion music sometime to share with you thanks for the reply again
