reaper9111
Hello guys, i'm not new to CS, but i'm wondering; what are the objects/stuff affecting the FPS rate in the game ? I know that NPC / Animals / Creatures colision is a cause of FPS rate, what else ?I also know that any Animated Item is a cause of FPS rate, what else ?Does any Light sources effect the FPS ? Thankx

IIRC overlapping light sources really suck FPS out of the system. Objects with lots and lots of polys also take FPS.
robertkor
every item in veiw affects FPS rates, some people have slow FPS in water, some have it when there is a lot of grass. personaly i get slow fps when alot of grass is visible so i turn down the grass texture and it runs smooth. hope that helps
David Brasher
Grass is the worst. Rain and snow are bad. Intersecting light radii are pretty bad. (Never have three intersecting radii and avoid having two.) Having more than eight actors in a small area is bad. I played a mod with 56 NPCs in a giant shopping mall sort of cell and it was practically unplayable. Lag was so intense that you would push buttons and nothing would happen. You would have to press and hold a button in order for it to register.
