Malikin
I have been selecting mods that I think will compliment my gaming style. After some trial and error, much installing and unistalling, I have been very unsuccesful. So i went into FOMM and turned off everything but the Fallout.esm Now when I try to load a new game, lost all of the saves, after I make the character and the mother begins to die. The screen shows me being wheeled out of the chamber and then the game freezes. I have to restart the computer at that point. I really do not know how to window the game. I cannot seem to get even an unmodded version to work. Can someone please help me with this issue, and perhaps even with the mods I do want to use? Thank you, Malikin
FadingCeiling
Depends are you using vanilla F3 or the GOTY edition, did you install it in the default directory (Program Files), are you using the DLCs, have you patched it to 1.7 and if you are using the Unofficial Fallout 3 patch, what mods you are using, do you have FOSE/FOMM/etc. installed and so on. You aren't giving a lot to go on here.
mechine
LuLz FadingCeiling, this one isn't that bad, there is one over in tech support who forgot to put the .esm .esp part in the load order, hahaha the last reply is like, "you forgot to put the .esm an .esp in" :D He just started trying mods, which suited him, then ran into a problem, turned them off, an the game went bonkers. mechine
Makes you wonder if time is infinite doesn't it? Guess we'll just have to wait an find out. Malikin, when you run into a problem it's probably better to not change anything, so that it's more easy to duplicate, an get a diagnosis, there are times though when just deleting the whole thing is the right thing to do, who's to say when that time is though. You can keep trying and still learn, but eventually you're going to learn that you need a guide for this sort of thing while you are starting out. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=120735 http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=125185 http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=83642 These are the guides which Nexus uses, you might even find one on the nexus downloads page too. We can help you, mostly though it's just when dealing with a issue. I could write out all the stuff you should do, but you wouldn't want to read it, an it would be long. Start out small on simple mods, then move on to complex things. If there is a problem then systematicly rule out things to find a cause with help from the nexus forums.
