Community Manager Dark0ne Posted January 15, 2010 Community Manager Posted January 15, 2010 I've just come back from watching Book of Eli at the cinema. It's probably as close as you can get to being a Fallout 3 film without actually using the license. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who likes the whole post-apocalyptic genre of films. Just be prepared to be a little patient and have a bit of spirituality thrown at you. It has two of my favourite actors in it; Gary Oldman and Michael Gambon, great acting talents from England and Ireland respectively.
wasder Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 It looks pretty good, but the plot looks a bit thin and like all post-apocalyptic films, it looks kinda like a B-movie western with the actors replaced by tramps.
species5478 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 I can't wait to see this movie. Avatar was all flash, with no substance. My eight year old nephew figured out the plot before the movie ended. And I haven't seen a post-apocalyptic movie in years...
Pushkatu Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I've seen the trailer some time ago. Looks great. I'm not sure when they'll bring it over here. :P
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted January 16, 2010 Author Community Manager Posted January 16, 2010 Just to prepare you; the trailer makes it out to be a bit of an action film, but it's more pensive than that. Action in parts, but it's not really the selling point of the film. The plot isn't anything special.
Uzokain Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 i really want to watch it, and my first thoughts when i saw the trailer were"FALLOUT 3!!! outta go game it!" :D

Action or not that girl that he meets at one point and that fat guy with the gas mask on his face convinced me long ago I should see it. :whistling:
Retribution Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 The Book of Eli was a pretty good movie. I thought the plot was actually good, myself.
