Gushar
Hi, I've had all kind of troubles getting my game running well recently as I'm always missing files (meshes or textures) then I pass hours trying to find the files or re-installing. When I finally found what was wrong, I lost all motivation. And that's bad since i've been working to bring this game to my standard for 2 weeks. The problem is that the files simply disappear. How I noticed? Well, I made a backup of the whole morrowind game (around 10GB), then I immediately started it without changing a single thing, and I got 2 files missing. I exit, and the files were in the backup but not in the game! Can anyone explain that? I never had anything like that happen in any game, ever, in my whole life, from the 286 to the I7. Gushar
It seems it have something to do with MGSO. The files were in MGSO in the backup, and after copying them back, it crashed on new game. So now I'm really lost.
Gushar
I found the problem for this file in particular, there was a conflict between mods, MGSO provided the mesh, the mod provided the texture, and I think MGSO deleted the texture when I run it (I always run it after a few mods). It gave an error in game, but when I put back the texture from MGSO it crashed. So I overwrited the .nif with another one (was the same), and morrowind ran fine. Now I hope it is the last time... hollaajith
Are by any chance installed your game in Program Files? Older games have problems when installed in Program Files with the UAC and permissions and all that. Just try copying the "Morrowind" directory to different drive or folder.
