Hijiku
Fair warning, I am still somewhat new to modding with the Nexus but in fairness, my Skyrim mods are working just fin and i have over 10 mods active. Now then, I have a few different mods downloaded using the NMM including the NVSE which i was very careful to install correctly and ensure was actually working before i continued with downloading mods. But for some reason upon startup, the window for the game pops up, i see the big legal paragraph with all the dev info on it, and it crashes, showing the "Fallout: NV has stopped working" message every single time. I've attempted to restart the game several times, same thing happens. I'm wondering if some of the mods im using are causing a code conflict. Below is the full list of installed mods; Better Default PerksBetter Tag SkillsCASM_NVMore Perks 2.4.6Project NevadaNew Vegas Stutter Remover 4.1.36Official Pipboy Readius - New Vegas Edition v1.1.0MTUIOne HUD (oHUD)The Mod Configuration MenueUnited HUD Project - uHUD I've checked to make sure that these mods would be compatible but it is entirely possible I missed something because I can be a lyzdexic whoreface, so if anyone knows what im doing wrong here, I'm all ears. WHITELION1284
It's either a load order issue or you installed One Hud and Universal Hud incorrectly. So, uninstall Uhud and then OHud and then reinstall OHud first and UHud second. If you're sure you did that you can skip this step. Next, go here: http://boss-developers.github.io/ Download the BOSS archive to your desktop (or wherever you feel comfortable putting it.) You'll need winzip or winrar or 7zip to open it. Open it and then go to your game folder. By default it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas. You can extract BOSS directly into that directory but my preference is to create a new folder named BOSS and extract the utility into that. Once you do there will be several .exe's an .ini and a number of folders with the names of different games on them. Double click the BOSS.exe. If it works properly you should briefly see a DOS command prompt followed by your browser opening. Look over both the recognized and unrecognized plugins (if you have any.) BOSS will probably tell you that you need to do some cleaning with FONVEdit but that's another story altogether and you can find video tutorials for it through google. BOSS may even provide you with a link. It's good practice but not an immediate concern, especially with a light load order like yours. Your main concern here is the unrecognized plugins, if there are any. Those are the ones you'll have to sort. Which means going to the page you got 'em from and reading the description. If you don't have any then you're (almost) golden. See if your game will start. EDIT - If it does not check the readius page. That mod is particularly tricky if I recall correctly. You may need to do something fancy to get it working. Edited June 4, 2014 by WHITELION1284
