Master Block Training test with Andragil

this is either a mod problem or im just some kind of huge blockhead but here goes ...

 

so i go to Andragil to complete the block training test and i cant figure out how to satisfy her request to keep my shield up

 

- to equip a shield i have to equip a weapon, i cant just equip a shield without a weapon. if i equip and raise a weapon and shield and then unequip the weapon the shield also gets lowered and cant be raised alone. even if the shield is still equipped in your inventory, it cant be raised without a weapon being equipped (its like this for everybody else, right?)

 

- if i start the test with my weapon/shield equipped and drawn so the shield is available she says she wont start the test with my weapon drawn

 

- if i start the test without weapon/shield equipped but NOT drawn and try to draw them after she starts the test she immediately stops the test and says i told you to keep your shield up. iow, there simply isnt any pause that allows me to draw and raise the shield in time

 

- if i start the test with no weapon or shield equipped and try to raise my hands to block she stops the test bc i dont have a shield equipped

 

so as it stands now it is impossible for me to complete the blocking test

 

am i just missing something stupid or is this a possible mod conflict?

well fwiw i never figured it out and was forced to change the status via the console command setstage TrainingBlock 100

 

thats the only time so far ive had to use the console for anything other than turning off grass so that sucks but i had no choice. funny it doesnt seem anybody else had this problem

I have it, exactly the same. UOP and OOO installed.

No solution so far, will probably cheat.
