Carrying my Lute on my back

I'm sorry to ask what is probably a very simple question, but I can't figure it out.

I have a lute and I would simply like to see it on my back. It's not a weapon. It's for a weaponless character, (at least no weapon on the back.)

 

Is there a tut for this? If so, if you could direct me to it, that would be good enough.

If you would like to help me work it out, i would be grateful.

Ohhhh!

I never thought of that.

I was thinking in terms of it being an add on to the back, rather than it being a whole new shirt or armor.

I assume I'll have to script it to change it back to the original shirt once I begin to play the lute.

That's all good. It'll give me something to do today.

scripting will not change anything as long as you dont have 2 meshe (model) one that the animation is using, and one to display on the back, then a script would be needed to display the lute when needed and to switch it to the back when the player dont play it !dont remember if its you you send me a Pmsg, but i repeat it here, if anyone can provide me whit a back meshe of the lute, i will remake my lute mod...

Yes sir, that was me.

I'm slow with meshes and I've never scripted before.

My plan is to display the lute on my back and then have it disappear from my back when I play it, so I will have to script it.

 

Basically what I'm gonna have to do is create a mesh with the lute on the backs of all the shirts that I plan to wear with the lute.

Actually I only plan to wear about 3 or 4 shirts with it since my character is going to be a commoner. There are a few other shirts that I will change from the female cut to the male cut and fit it for the females, but that's some ways off.

 

Once and if I complete the meshes you can do whatever you like with them. I would love to see where you go with the Lute mod.

Like I said, it became an immediate essential mod, for me!!

 

It will take me some time cause I'm also trying to figure out another mod.

I'll keep you posted.
