Request Regarding The Game (duh)

JUST A WISH......

It's not sensible to stop and show you the menu in the middle of your character dying and rolling down a hill.(If you want to watch, that is)..... Then loading a game like nothing happened. I don't know how to create mods, so I'm pretty much stuck like this... For now. Here is what I wish the mod could contain:

1. Camera able to rotate like normal gameplay.

2. Wait until body is still and will not move any further before anything happens (Spirit, entering world of dead).

3. Becoming a spirit.

4. If a spirit mod is useless, then.... enter the world of the dead.

5. Methods:

a. If it ends up a spirit mod: Spirit spawns into closest town, body is located and marked for spirit to find. Re-enter body.

b. If ends up a death realm mod: Get out of the labyrinth. You can fight zombies here. There should be some special areas like Market of the Dead. Buy/Sell items. Enter gate at the end of labyrinth to spawn to nearest city.

That's my wish..... Of course, you can tell me that there shouldn't be a mod like this :P.

-End-

World of Warcraft anyone? ;D

Nice idea though, WoW did it for a reason. Sounds like a lot of work though, it'd be a pretty huge undertaking by a modder to create all that stuff. Still, be cool if it happened.

Or... in the other case... I just want to know whether tweaking can change the menus to pop up when the body is still.

Having your spirit walk around wouldn't be that hard to code. Just copy the bodies from the **SPOILER**.......

Daedric quest where you have to collect the God's followers' Souls from Oblivion. The Clear blue see through body, that you cant see with out a Detect Creature Spell. Have that blue outline walk around any time you die. Say if you try to activate an NPC, have them say something along the lines of "I thought I just felt something brush up against me" or "Did you just hear that voice, it sounded like a whisper"

Then just make one NPC able to see you, and have them give you a quest to find your body and activate it.

LOL it would be even cooler, if the Higher your Fame and Imfany went, the better burial your body would recieve, eventually being placed at the bottom of a dungeon/tomb.

Cool! Class idea Cap'n Puffy, I like it. You could have mediums (or medii?) in certain areas that you have to contact in order to gain access to your body. And that idea with the see-through model is a good solution too. Hmm, this sounds like the first big mod project I've heard of, I hope someone takes it up.

This does sound like a cool Idea. I've havent opened up the CS kit yet, but I'm going to check it out tonight. I'm sure a mod of this calibre would be out of my league though.

I dunno, it just sounds like a lot of work rather than really complex stuff. Just guessing, but would you not just (lol) have to write a script to intervene just as the player dies (so some form of ifHealth=0 or something, I don't know jack about scripts), get it to replace the player model with the see-through one, and then do the normal stuff for a quest - NPCs, dialogue, that kind of stuff. Like I said, not complex, just a lot of work.

Hmm, perhaps I'll have a browse around the CS and see if what I'm saying is anywhere near the truth. *Waits for Peregrine, Marxist, or Theta to smack me back to the Dark Ages for posting such a load of rubbish* :D
