Yotenheim Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Hello fellow adventurers, I have recently come back to this phenomenal game (downloading as we speak, current wait time fluctuating between 4 hours and 3 days) and not only am I new to this forum (greetings!), but I am also here to start a thread that probably comes up a lot and that is character archetypes. Although Skyrim has improved the flexibility in Character development (you no longer need to choose "Classes" like in Morrowind), it's not very advantageous to try to create a "Jack of all Trades" character, both for the sake of creating a personal identity around your character and also the fact that there are a limited number of perks (81 yes?) that you may distribute, only allowing you to specialize in a handful of skill trees out of the many possible. I have done an extensive, 2 minute Google search on this topic so if anyone may direct me to a comprehensive, professional page which discusses the matter of character archetypes, please link me there, otherwise, name any Archetypes, classic or creative, and share with me which one YOU are. I haven't started a character, but I've given a lot of thought about different archetypes. Here goes... Paladin: Travels in heavy armor and wields either a two handed sword or mace retribution style or a sword and board or morningstar and board. Must have trees: Heavy Armor, One handed and Block OR Two Handed, Restoration, SmithingAlternatives: Speech, Alchemy, Alteration, Enchanting, Destruction (if you're a badass paladin =D) I'm sure all the ideas have been put out there, but lemme know if there's one you particularly want to share! =D By the way, wouldn't it be really cool (and really unrealistic, that's why its cool) if at the end of the 2 hander tree, you would have the option to wield 2 handers in one hand, WoW Fury Warrior style? Is there a mod for that? I hope so, if not, maybe work on it! Tanks
