scsiegel05
They still have the free accounts, it is just hard to find lol. Go to register, fill in the blanks, and then the next page asks how much you want to pay (and has a button under that says "proceed to checkout". Ignore that, and click on "No Thanks" and your account will be made. You will have to use the free mirrors that make you wait in line (usually for small mods like these, there is no wait)
clintonius
I have begun work on my own version of this mod but I can't get it to work. I'm having trouble getting the merchants to accept stolen goods. I've tried changing their class to 'mercfence' but that doesn't work. I think I need to change their faction but I can't see any way of doing that. I've looked at the "Wiki" tutorials but they are practically useless. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you. Akabar
Got it!!! Here is the Stolen Goods Overlook Mod <http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=2628> that I created. It makes it so that each major city (except Kavatch) has a merchant that accepts stolen goods. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions/concerns about the mod. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions/concerns about the mod.I tried to download it but it said that it was unable to load. I,m not quite sure what the problem is because I had the same problem with another .esp file, the Playable_Captains_Armor.esp mod. Yet, my biggest issue is how to change an NPC's faction and dialogue so that they may purchase stolen goods. I've attempted to Copy and Paste but no avail. This CS is alot more aggravating than the last one.
Akabar
Hmmmm... Strange... I was able to download it and use it without any issues. Also I have two friends who tried it with no issues. Give me ur xfire name (if u use it) or email address and I can shoot it to you almost instantly (its only about 8k).

I finally got it to work, not sure what the problem was. One question though, how did you get them to buy stolen goods? I think its a matter of changing their faction and possibly dialogue but I couldn't ever figure out how to do it. Any pointers? By the way, thanks for the mod. It runs fine and it makes a little more since now.

Thank you.I'm still working on this mod and I've finally figured out how to change faction information. Only problem is, I still can't get them to accept stolen goods. I'm stumped. I've changed their class to 'mercfence' and I've added both the 'Fences' and 'Thieves Guild' factions to their factions list. Does anyone have any clues as to what I'm doing wrong? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. :(

To have the merchant buy stolen goods, you need to set his "Responsibility" AI-setting to 30 or lower. Worst part about it is that the answer was staring me in the face this whole time. You can find it in the Wiki tutorial under the listing 'Adding Sellable Items To Merchant NPC' at the bottom of the page. Man do I feel silly  . I guess I just missed it every time I read it. Oh well, I guess the important thing is that its done now. Thanks to everyone who responded and good luck to all y'all. :D
