Weapon Mods Issue NVSE Scripting

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to create a weapon in the GECK that already has a mod attached to it (i.e. silencer), so that when place it in a worldspace interior (i.e. GSGeneralStore) and pick it up in-game, the mod is attached and ready to go. I've tried matching the "Model" and "1st Person Model Object" under the "Art and Sound" tab, to that of the mod I want under the "Mod Info" tab, but it has had no effect. I also tried adding the mod to player inventory on weapon pickup (AddItem) and attaching it with "rWeapon.EquipItem", but that didn't work either. If anyone has any suggestions or tips that might help, they would be greatly appreciated!
