Not every mod is compatible with every other mod. A load order may help us to find your problem.

Other questions

Do you have and start with OBSE?

Do you have the latest patch?

Have you checked the readme to see if there are any other requirements?

Can you start a new game with Midas active?

OBSE is Oblivion Script Extender. A utility program that adds to (Extends) the capability of Oblivion scripts. Many mods will not work without it.

Available here: http://obse.silverlock.org/

This is NOT a mod and does not install like a mod, so read the instructions first.

If you haven't checked the read me how do you know nothing else is required for it to work?

If you can start a new game with Midas active, but not a saved game, then there is something in that saved game that conflicts.

If you do not have OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) then get it and use it. Again, it is not a mod and does not install like a mod.

Using mods is not like playing a plain game. You actually have to learn how to do things for yourself that users of consoles like the xbox do not need to know. Not every mod installs the same. And not every mod will work with every other mod.

If you do not know, the highlighted text is a link - clicking on it will take you to a site where those programs can be downloaded.

You need to tell us what other mods you use and post a load order as bben46 described.

If you're not using any other mods then OBSE is useless to you until you do add mods that require it, and Midas Magic doesn't.

Installing OBSE if you don't need it just confuses the issue. The only absolute requirement for Midas Magic is the 1.2 patch and you say you already have that. Otherwise you have a mod interaction or a something else interfering.

I've added and updated Midas to various of my characters mid game, at different times, and have had no problems loading saves during a game or at the start of a session. My mod list is fairly long and includes OOO (Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul) and MMM (Martigen's Monster Mod), COBL and many others, and Midas works fine.

However, load order does make a difference. You can't just add mods and hope they work. Take note of bben's tutorials and links and do some research.

Make sure you have the latest version of Midas and, please, do read the Readme. It's there to help you. A lot of the time the reason people can't get a mod to work is because they can't be bothered to read the instructions.

If you don't understand something in the Readme try to contact the author or comment in the mod thread or here obviously, but you need to give detailed information about what, if anything, you've added to your game. That also includes removing mods, because if not done correctly the problem may still persist.

hey uhhh arent you sposed to go buy them?, just get out massacre some guards and sell their armour for the money

Buy what?

You have quests to do to get the spells in this mod. They can't be bought at vendors, you have to collect the ingredients among other things, and believe me sometimes that's not so easy. The owners don't want to give them up since they have to die most times.

The only other way to get the spells, is to cheat via the console. A little pointless having such an excellent mod and cheating to get the content, I think.
