Demonstrasys
I've found a couple companion mods for oblivion but not one that is too awfully useful. Could you post some of the ones you use if any? *misses companion share*

loveme4whoiam
Then make one midap. Not to be rude, but try to keep the posts on-topic for the thread. I haven't actually tried any of the companion mods yet Demonstrasys - could you recommend any despite their less than usefullness? What do you mean by useful? What features do you want in it? Some shopkeeper functions, a warrior or mage (or both), some cool new stuff like being a piggy-back mount (I will pay whoever makes that mod £50, I swear :D), or all of the above? Demonstrasys
I've tried the elf mage guy, he isn't bad in all honesty but he refuses to enter some doors, his pathfinding is terrible, and when i was in a gate with him, all the dremora attacked him (not me) and he died very quickly. (but then thats oblivion) And I've tried the Gabby Companion one, (the pirate chick) She is better in most ways. She will sneak when I sneak she draws her weapon whenever I do, the pathfinding seemed better to me and I thought I read somthing about a warp script. And she jst had better commands when you talked to her I thought. (melee or ranged) BUT the one horrible thing is that she won't attack anything, no matter what I attack she just stands there with her weapon drawn and spout insults at the enemy without doing anything. I just want a good companion that you can change his equipment (companion share) or his equipment levels up on its own would work as well. (And he would level up too of course) and would have to be able to keep up with me, wether with warping or just cranked out speed, either would work. That would be great. I don't know if there are any companions like this out as of yet, but questing around all alone is a bit lonely...
CaptainPuffy
I'm using Gabby right now. I gave her a Set of Red-Glass Armor enchanted to fortify Endurance and Strength, and an Absorb Health Spell on a Daedric Claymore. She's pretty effective, but her health is a little low. At least she can only be knocked unconscious, that makes her a little more useful. I have her programmed for Melee Combat, and I sit in the background and hurl Fireballs and Shoot arrows at the enemies while she hacks away. All in all She's alright. A decent Mage companion would be nice though, one who uses Ranged Destruction and Restoration Spells. Oh, and if the companions could have a command to ride horses, that would be a great benefit as well.
Demonstrasys
You "gave her"? just how did you do that? I can say follow, stay, melee, and ranged and thats all. plus she never attacked anything when I used her.

I can say follow, stay, melee, and ranged and thats all. plus she never attacked anything when I used her. If you sneak, and then click on her, it will treat it like you're pick pocketing her, while you're doing that, just take her clothes and weapons away, and leave any Armor, weapons, rings and Amulets that you would like her to wear. The same Goes for Potions, although according to my wife, she just drinks them all automatically. Oh and I've pick pocketed her before infront of a guard, and the guard or her didn't flinch. Did you give her a sword or a Bow? It says in the bugs section on the download website that she doesn't always attack when she has a bow, some times she just stands there. Thats why I gave her the sword, and I took the bow :)
Demonstrasys
Alright i'll try that, I was lookin in the readme and it mentioned a box that she gives you that is basically her inventory...I'll be right back after I try this pickpocket thing. *tries it* YES!! heh, awsome that it works. How did you figure this out? The readme never says anything about that, it only mentions some stupid jewelery box or somthing like that. She is now my main companion (after i edit her to have water breathing constant) *edits* well... I got a little carried away in editin her...ahaha oh well. Jiub the dark elf lives again!! (loves the tes editor) It seems that he still won't attack guards or anyone innocent at all really, but that isn't so big a deal.

She is now my main companion (after i edit her to have water breathing constant) I remember reading in the Manequin mods that NPC's will automatically equip the strongest items in their inventory. I tried it on Gabrielle with out removing her clothes and swords first, and it wasn't a go, so I decided to strip her down, and force the AI to realise that she was in fact Unprotected and needed armor. It worked. Her Red Hair and the Red Glass Armor Set look really nice, I'll try to post some pics later on tonight.
Demonstrasys
Alright that'll be cool, but what i asked was how did you know that sneak would work like this? normally equiped items are not displayed and the person and guards get pissed off. it wasnt mentioned in the readme. When i tried on Jiub he equiped the armor over the clothes and i didnt have to remove anything. He also chose the better sword without me removing the old one. And by the way, he switches between bow and sword during a fight whenever he wants, and it all works great =) and also he didnt immediatly drink the potions, he saved them for when they were needed when i tried it. He wprks great so I just added his dark elf abilities and dressed him like jiub started off in morrowind (right on a dock off a boat, awsome coincedence) I'm gonna have fun with this now =)
