tsff19
So I'm at the part of the Order of Virtuous Blood quest where I have to find evidence in Roland's house. Just one problem. The door is locked, but that's not the problem. The problem is that apparently if I went in, it counts as trespassing. (red icon) I'm trying to play a character with zero infamy and bounty, so this is a bit of a problem. So I'm asking if there's a console command for this kind of situation or some other method? David Brasher
There is nobody around, so I don't think you will get caught and charged with a crime. (Unless you have a goody-goody two shoes following you around as a companion who snitches on you when you are naughty.) I have played that quest twice and never got a bounty from trespassing. Matoyak
You could also, I believe, use the console command to advance the quest to the next stage and bypass that portion of the quest entirely. Though I had the same thing as David here, and didn't get any bounty from the trespassing.
MrSeptim
Just make sure a guard doesn't see you when you pick the door open. :D

David Brasher
I don't really care for cheat codes. If your character is a saint and feels bad about breaking into a house while hunting down a vampire, then I think he might feel equally bad about using cheat codes to make people think he is a perfect saint when he isn't. If I was playing that righteous character, I would ask myself, "Do the ends justify the means? I want to rid the world of this evil vampire. Is it okay to break a trespassing law in order to rid the world of a greater evil? For all I know, I am trespassing in a vampire's house, and it is okay to violate the property rights of an abomination I will soon be destroying anyway."
