dcknives
I purchased fallout 3 through steam on christmas and it just simply will not cooperate with me. ive tried downloading patches, save files, drivers, updates, and loads of other things. Ive also tried uninstalling norton internet sucurity and turning off my firewall. it is driving me insane. the error message and system info are posted below. If anyone has found a solution for this, please let me know. Thank you. by the way, ive also tried turning all settings to lowest resolution and loading loose files... nothing seems to work. (i also have the same problem with assassins creed. no problems with left 4 dead 2, farcry 2, resident evil 5 or f.e.a.r. 2) Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Fallout3.exe Application Version: 1.7.0.3 Application Timestamp: 4a40f18b Fault Module Name: Fallout3.exe Fault Module Version: 1.7.0.3 Fault Module Timestamp: 4a40f18b Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 006ddf7b OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104...mp;clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt System information: Dell inspiron 1545 Processor Information: Vendor: GenuineIntel Speed: 2094 Mhz 2 logical processors 2 physical processors HyperThreading: Unsupported FCMOV: Supported SSE2: Supported SSE3: Supported SSSE3: Supported SSE4a: Unsupported SSE41: Unsupported SSE42: Unsupported Network Information: Network Speed: Windows Version: Windows 7 (64 bit) NTFS: Supported Video Card: Driver: Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family DirectX Driver Name: igdumdx32.dll Driver Version: 8.15.10.1808 DirectX Driver Version: 8.15.10.1808 Driver Date: 3 June 2009 Desktop Color Depth: 32 bits per pixel Monitor Refresh Rate: 60 Hz DirectX Card: Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family VendorID: 0x8086 DeviceID: 0x2a42 Number of Monitors: 1 Number of Logical Video Cards: 1 No SLI or Crossfire Detected Primary Display Resolution: 1366 x 768 Desktop Resolution: 1366 x 768 Primary Display Size: 18.98" x 10.67" (21.73" diag) 48.2cm x 27.1cm (55.2cm diag) Primary Bus Type Not DetectedPrimary VRAM: 6 MB Supported MSAA Modes Not Detected Sound card: Audio device: Speakers / Headphones (IDT High Memory: RAM: 3032 Mb Miscellaneous: UI Language: English Microphone: Not set Media Type: DVDTotal Hard Disk Space Available: 223434 Mb Largest Free Hard Disk Block: 90322 Mb Steam Hard Disk Usage: 45528 Mb OS Install Date: Dec 31 1969 Installed Packages: ,Windows Firewall

checoburger
Is your video card really a mobile chipset? If it is then there is no way you would be able to run fallout. According to what im seeing everything is good but the video card. It says it only has 6mb of dedicated vram. Your computer wouldnt be able to run fallout 3 even on the minimum settings. Before buying a game you should trysystemrequirementslab.com that should give you some type of idea if you can run a game.
checoburger
If you arent having problems with those other games then fallout is reading your video card wrong and not allowing you to play it but other than that how high of settings can you run those other games?
