Suggestions regarding "Files of the month"

So buddah told me in this thread it would be better to post the suggestions in a new thread, here they are:

The reason I put those links there is simply because the vote button doesn't really stand out much, I didn't even know how to vote a file for "File of the month" until a few months ago.

My suggestion would be to add a vote counter next to the endorsements one so more people will notice it. Also remove the vote button from "options", I think it's kinda out of place there.

Something else about voting:

 

It is not required to download a file to be able to vote it for file of the month.

This is kinda weird, because an endorsements requires a download. A vote for file of the month should be superior to a regular endorsement.

But this way a file can have more votes for file of the month than endorsements.

 

It would be better if a vote requires:

- a download

- maybe an endorsement?

 

I tested this with another account to make sure I didn't have downloaded the file and no I did not vote my own file.
