Serriaromeo
I'm working on a submarine for a house mod for myself. I've seen the underwater houses, and ship mods, so I figured a dwarven or elven submarine could work. I have the exterior model about 1/4 of the way done. For now I don't plan on it being able to be moved, but that would be cool if it could. (I'll have to learn a lot about the scripting to make that work.) I'm just wondering if there is any interest from anybody else to have a submarine in the game?
haloblivion
Ha ha. That would be soooooo cool. If/when you finish the model (and texture) please PM me. I would love to have a copy. Thanks! (P.S. This is not sarcasm)
Serriaromeo
Well, i'm almost happy with the exterior, I still need to work on the coloration of it. it's not quite right.
WaLkAwaY
I do not know that I would ever use it. But I would like to say what an original and cool idea that it is. You might be starting a trend of underwater houses and stuff. Like half the house or castle is underwater and tho bottom half of the house or castle is an inside out aquarium. Meaning the walls are made of glass so you could sit in your living room underwater and stare out at the sea life going by. Wonder how hard that would be to accomplish. Anyway I like the submarine idea.
jaysus
in oblivion water is more or less a static defined in the worldspace, hence you cant make a vertical wall of water as youd need for a window or bullseye, you can however use colored lightning and some nice fx statics combined with some animated fishes maybe to create the image of an underwaterworld, however you wont be able to swim in it...if oblivion however does indeed have waterplanes like those in fallout you could still add "real" water around you sub, just not ontop...if you have fallout check out my COMM mod on how to set up such a scene
Serriaromeo
Here's what I have, it's not textured, but that is another lesson in the tutorial. I admit that i suck at blender, but it's fun just playing with it. <edit, spelling errors.>
Tarm
I don't like the shape. They're too "human". I'd imaging the elves or dwarves would use another shape. What about some of the first submarines? A tear drop? Do the Nautilus? Some other exotic shape. Make it Oblivionesque. :P
