sesshru
i'm not sure what it takes to make it, but i would be extremely grateful if someone could design/make a really cool looking Kimono something like what's seen here http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/life/images/a...f0b342ac01f.jpg but instead of the current something else that kinda goes with the world of DA Thanks Much ^_^
egaSbooN
seeing the the game is set in more of a ye olde Europe type background im not sure how well a kimono will fit into the game(as many who play rpg's like this, get kinda touchy w/ "immersion" (realisticness)) as for me id think more victorian age noble type outfits would do nicely or if bioware releases more (if any)orleasian content, some masquerade outfits, (examples of both can be found looking at mesmer gear from guildwars, or from movies like van helsing or older dracula movies (as the recent ones are set in modern times)) but who knows, perhaps they'll expand the game (or someone will add on to it) to include a DA version of Asia, most likely japan set in magi era never the less it isn't a bad request, but i fear it may get ignored, (if not horribly flamed by those who cant keep their "immersion" to themselves) on other hand if you convinced someone to make a new origin story that fit as an immigration/wanderer character coming into the current landsof dragon age, that would work as well. (i mention it cause i was about to post a thread to suggest it)
sesshru
well with the character creation you can practically make your character look 100% oriental, but she/he won't exactly fit into anything except the mage storylinebut yea, i see what your saying, and i respect for what most people like and want, but as you can tell by my request, i'm obviously not the norm, lol ^_^
Silvist
Realistic? Lol somehow that doesn't coincide with fantasy. Plus we haven't even seen the full map of dragon ages world. For all you know to the west side of the map is an island called "New Tokyo" lol. I say any armor that differs from the generic ones in the game would be a blessing. The noble armors even with winter forge with every single dye available is still limited in variety. People have already been making Japanese style mods, so why not a kimono? Don't believe me about the Japanese style weapons check out: http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=633 Also, I would have to say I'm not sure i'd say I agree with you Sesshru, on the fact that you said you don't feel a japanese style mod would be a norm. If you don't believe me on that look at all the requests on biowares moddin boards about "Final fantasy" stuff lol. That's japanese enough to me. Definately in high demand. egaSbooN
i just meant that it would stand out quite a bit from the current game back-drop if you went running about looking like innuyasha, or a soul reaper though easily remedied by getting someone to add some dialogue, or companion chat bits vaguely referencing an asian style land but im all for kimono' and asian style weaponry. just add in some claws like Zhang He (dynasty warriors) and ill be one of the first 5 downloadingthat mod i would like to add that keeping with the request theme, it wouldnt be a bad idea for someone to post a few links or search term sugestionsunder this thread

Oestaira
Side note; that's a yukata.*gets stoned to death*I actually would have liked to see more just random clothing. Most NPCs in clothing had pretty much the same outfit on in different colors. Rather bland, imo. Would have been nice to see nobles all pompous in completely impractical attire flaunting their status, and some nice tattered rags for the lowest caste. Would add a huge bonus to immersion and the over all character of NPCs.
