dpolier
I have been using xpadder so that I can use an xbox controller with a PC. All of a sudden the "a " button instead of being "use" is "crouch" and so when I click on somebody to talk it puts me in sneak mode and they think I am pickpocketing them. Anybody out there know what to do?

Anybody out there know what to do? I prefer the keyboard, but I recently sent this link to a friend just starting out with Oblivion and they prefer using the Xbox 360 gamepad. Xbox 360 Gamepadhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28902 Maybe it'll help. You'll need to do some config work and download a couple of tiny external programs, but nothing drastic. WaLkAwaY
Although I don't know what xpadder is I use an xbox controller for some games. Is that some special software you have to use just for Oblivion or FO3? I thought those games could be used without special downloads? Anyway maybe just go into the configuration and bind the keys again to the correct buttons. It is a pain in the ass however it takes away the necessity of having to run a special software program. At least mine can be configured that way I don't know if you have wireless or not or if you have dld'd the latest drivers and/or have gone to the Microsoft website and looked to see if they have an Oblivion or FO3 profile for dld. Ok upon further inspection I looked up xpadder in google and see that it is a utility that allows you to use your xbox controller on the PC. I thought you could do this anyway? Oh well I also found that there is indeed xbox versions of both of the games below.XBOX Fallout 3Oblivion Which makes me think that somewhere on the XBOX site either directly of in the forums there is information on that specific games profile creation. This actually should not even be necessary as obviously the game can be played on xbox the profiles for using the controller should already be included either with the game (patch maybe) or the controller just recognizes it. None of this is probably helping but I thought I would try.
Jenrai
Alternatively, try this. Picked it up for a random 3rd party controller I have from game uk. Precise instructions in the thread if you don't quite follow the read me. (Really do need to update that long description. Oops) Jenrai
