Morrowind is in Ruin?

Honestly, I'm hoping they kind of open all of Tamriel (that would be awesome). I mean, you read the first book and it tells you what's happened after "Oblivion", and the next book will explain the next 150 years or so, but even if Morrowind is in ruins, they can still re-build. The empire is re-building, and even with the separation of provinces, there's always the chance the next game is about you helping someone take back the Empire. The next game...It's going to be big, I can tell...hell, the next book is going to be big, even if it makes me mad like the first one...

Well, daggerfall was bigger than morrowind, morrowind was bigger than oblivion...maybe it'll turn out even smaller ;D. Maybe the next book will give more clues...

My wish is that there will be no advance in graphics and such. I want TES V to be just like Oblivion as far as that goes. Oblivion is too resource-intensive for the average computer. If they make TES V even more resource-intensive, every one of us will have to buy brand-new top of the line computers, and then half of us will still get low frame-rate and poor performance. Software designers have a mean streak. They tend to design their products for futuristic hot-rod computers rather than for the computers their customers actually own.

A lot of the problems with Oblivion lie in the game engine, and not necessarily with the graphics. Friend of mine can get Mass Effect 2 running with near maxed settings, Crysis on mostly-high, and Oblivion STILL has to be set to medium-high settings.

What I hope they do is drop the Gamebryo engine altogether. Not going to happen, but a man can wish, no? I hope they take their time with the next game and get their engine working smoothly. Easier said than done when they attempt to allow as much modding as these games produce, with as open as world as they tend to have, but still...The only game I know of that's buggier/less optimized than Oblivion is S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and that has a reputation for that crap. I love Oblivion to death, but when I have to play on a 800 x 600 windowed setting with medium graphics AND a mod that helps optimize it with a decent computer that was bought in early 2009? (If anyone's curious, it's my graphics card's fault. Damn thing's not up to par, and college is expensive. Heh.)
