After reviewing ones mod's, I realize that it is common that one will credit people who apparently helped in voice acting for [NPC's] How is one to take this task up? How would one set it up to create new voices for the NPC's? :thanks: for your help. :whistling:

1) Create a new voice type in the GECK

2) Create your custom NPC, assign them your new voice type.

3) Create a dialogue quest, add all the topics and conversations that you will use.

4) Edit each "info" (for both topics and conversations tabs) and make a recording with the GECK in the Audio section of the "Info" data page. Save the recording (by pressing the "save" button).

5) Using a program like Audacity, create the actual voice file using 44100Hz mono (single channel) settings.

6) Overwrite the file made by the GECK in step 4 with your own. Your file must have the same name and path as the one created by the GECK, you can't specify the name or path yourself.

7) (Optional) Using the TES CS v1.0, make lip files and add them to your infos so your NPC will move their lips when speaking.

That is a (very) brief overview.

Thank you very much, I really thank you for your response. I could not figure it out on the GECK, but now I have a pretty good guideline. Also, to answer the question of the guy who posted after this post, I wanted to make costum voices instead of using ones previous dialog.

Yes. I have this little mod for the TES CSv1.0 called Lip Template. I can't find the link any more, but that little mod is made specifically for making lip files for use with Fallout 3. It even contains a readme explaining the process. I wish I could remember where I got it.

Here is a link to LIP_Template that I uploaded myself as I just can't find the original.

Wouldn't you know it. As soon I make my own link, I found the original.
