If you can help that would be greatUse silent voices generated by TES4Gecko. Then you can release your mod, show that it's finished, and actually draw interest of some who might want to help out. Real voices can always be added later. Edited January 25, 2010 by Vagrant0

So you release the silent voice version, and then in future updates you slowly keep adding voices. You'll generate more interest that way.

Vagrant0
ive been working on it for a while now, im starting to do lots of quests for it. i have a large city with about 300+ npcsWhile that may be true, there is always a situation when voices are recorded before a mod is released that many of those voices are no longer used because some quest or dialogue ended up being said differently, or said by someone else, or not said at all because it was determined that you had to scale back some elements in order for the mod to work. Furthermore, the act of creating voiced dialogues for the game is not particularly easy, or can ruin other things in the process (if the mod wasn't constructed in 1.1) and can set back a release date by months, while you try to get it sorted out. It's usually better to have those months spent with a released mod gaining popularity and people who want to contribute their voice than it is to have it sitting away on someone's computer. The amount you claim is completed isn't the issue. The issue is what remains to be completed and what will be changing between now and then. There are also many large mods like this, and although they may not lack dedication, they tend to just vanish after a few weeks. A finished mod won't be going anywhere so there are usually more people who are interested in contributing as they know their effort won't be wasted. EMPEROR SABER
Vanish over a few weaks?
Vagrant0
Vanish over a few weaks?Yes, there hasn't been a good track record for large projects. In the last 3 or 4 years there have been hundreds of large projects started, and only a few dozen of them have ever released anything, with most of what they release being disjointed resources for a mod that was never completed, or ran into serious computer or member issues somewhere along the way and was abandoned. This is one of the reasons why very few people are willing to work on large projects, and why most who do tend to be newer modders. Most of these projects are discussed for a few weeks, get a bit of help with some scripts or models, have screenshots posted, and then disappear never to be seen again. This is not a word meant to discourage you as that line of thought is rather pointless in both cases as someone who is working on such a mod will always maintain a "will do it no matter what" attitude, and usually stop listening as soon as some suggestion is made to the contrary. Instead I am only offering a suggestion which is aimed at giving you the best chance of being eventually completed to your liking. If you have a released version that is just missing dialogues, your mod will be noticed for the value it has, and might actually gain some attention of people who are willing and able to voice mods, Without a released version, nobody knows what they're stepping into (amount and style of lines needed voicing), nobody knows what the mod is about, and nobody knows if their time spent recording a few dozen lines will even amount to anything, so likely won't offer even if they were interested. That said, some of the best quest mods have no voices, and a mod which has voices doesn't necessarily make that mod good or popular. The reason being that the mod without voices is only judged on the content of the quest and story, while the mod with voiced dialogue gets judged on how good the voices are, with the story and content being secondary. Wiruman
There's a really good voice changer program called Voice Changer 7 Diamond. I'm using it to make khajiit voices for a Wip Marooned island addon for Craftybits. Check it out. Many people are shy about their voices so this can change the timber as well as pitch, + many other options, like voice depth, good noise reduction algorythms and else. It even allows me to do realistic woman voices, which is freaky, but everyone is none the wiser.
